Dr. Salman Iqbal (CEO)

Dr. Salman Iqbal, Chief Executive of Softech Systems, has over 30 years of experience in engineering, software design, development, consultancy and senior level technical and business management. He directed the startup and daily operations of Softech, an export-oriented software development and technology services company. Under his leadership, Softech has developed a number of products in the capital, financial, healthcare and social media segments. Also provided development and consulting services to prestigious global clients based in USA, Canada, UAE, Singapore, Turkey, UK, Ghana and Pakistan.

Dr. Salman Iqbal has corporate senior-level management experience, having successfully managed capital market development projects worth millions of US Dollars. He carried out pioneering work for stock exchanges of Pakistan to fully automate their trading, clearing, dissemination and depository functions. Previously, he designed and implemented message passing and network security systems for diverse computing environments.

He has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Lahore University of Management Sciences, serving as member NCEAC (HEC Pakistan) and representation on academic councils of several public and private sector universities.

An Electrical Engineer by profession, Dr. Salman Iqbal attended the University of Sussex, UK, for his Doctorate Degree in Data Communication and Networks. He has over 12 international publications in his areas of specialization.

Dr. Khushro (CTO)

Dr. Khushro Shahookar has 30 years of work experience in software development, with Masters and Doctorate degrees from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI in 1989 and 1994 respectively. He has worked at Softech Systems for over 24 years, where he is the Chief Technology Officer, and one of the founding members of the company. He has successfully delivered major software development projects for large corporate clients, such as stock exchanges, banks, brokerage and asset management firms, hospitals and manufacturing industries. His major skills include software requirements analysis, project management, object oriented design and software engineering process.

Rehan Gulzar (Chief Software Architect)

Rehan Gulzar is a seasoned IT professional with over 2 decades of professional experience in the software development industry. He is one of the founding members of Softech Systems Pvt. Ltd. and currently working as its Chief Software Architect. He graduated in Computer Sciences from FAST NUCES before completing his Masters in Computer Sciences from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He has significant experience and hands-on expertise in application development, integration, and enterprise architecture with deep understanding of financial and capital markets including brokerage, risk management, investment management and mutual funds. For the last seven years he has been involved in the design and development of a social media marketing platform that is one the leading platforms in Europe. His areas of interest include designs and development of high data volume applications and have designed multiple enterprise grade applications in financial and social media domains.

Faisal Sarwer (Senior Manager Systems)

Faisal Sarwar is an experienced IT professional with over 28 years of professional experience in IT industry. He is one of the founding members of Softech Systems and currently working as Senior Manager Systems of the company. He did his MSc and PGD (IT) from University of the Punjab, Lahore. Faisal has deep understanding of the latest network and data security paradigms. He has several years of experience in implementing Network/IT Security infrastructure and policies at corporate level. His expertise in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning has helped many customers in different parts of the world.
